Gerianne Tringali DiPiano

Gerianne Tringali DiPiano serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of FemmePharma and is Chairman of its Board of Directors. A pharmaceutical industry executive and women’s healthcare expert, Gerianne founded and launched several companies in women’s healthcare. The first Company was sold in 2005 to a publicly traded (NYSE) Company.
She launched FemmePharma Global Healthcare in 2005 to address conditions, disorders and diseases that disproportionately affect women. Her passion for developing new treatment methods for healing has given hope to millions of women. Guided by her vision to provide more effective treatment options for women, FemmePharma Global Healthcare, Inc. is focused on improving women’s health by developing prescription pharmaceuticals that are specifically designed for women across a broad range of therapeutic categories.
Ms. DiPiano is the inventor on numerous patents in the area of drug delivery, methods of use and formulations, all in the area of women’s health. With more than 20 years experience in the healthcare industry, Gerianne’s background spans many facets of the pharmaceutical industry including pharmaceutical sales, marketing, market and systems planning, medical affairs, new product development and licensing and business development at several multinational companies including Baxter Healthcare/American Hospital Supply Corp., Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sanofi-Aventis (Sterling-Winthrop) and Wyeth.
Gerianne has also held academic appointments at Saint Joseph’s University Haub School of Business as Director of the Pharmaceutical MBA program and as an adjunct professor of marketing and has taught courses in strategic and pharmaceutical marketing.
Gerianne earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Marquette University, and MBA from St. Joseph’s University. She was awarded a Doctorate of Science(HC) from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, and also from the Wagner Institute. She is a Fellow of the Wagner Institute.
Currently, she serves on the Board of Trustees for Drexel University and Saint Joseph’s University, the Board of Directors for Living Beyond Breast Cancer, and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Clery Center. She has also served on the Corporate Advisory Board of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, and the Editorial Advisory Board of Biotechnology Healthcare.
Gerianne has been a finalist in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Greater Philadelphia Region in 2002, 2003 and 2004 and has been recognized in “People to Watch in 2004” by Philadelphia Magazine. She is the 2004 Recipient of the Iris Newman Award sponsored by the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, was named a Woman of Distinction by the Philadelphia Business Journal in 2006 and was recognized by Governor Rendell as one of Pennsylvania’s 51 Best Women In Business in 2007.
She was 2011 Hall of Fame recipient of the HAUB School of Business. PharmaVoice named Gerianne as one of the 100 most inspiring individuals in the United States Pharmaceutical Industry and one of the top 12 entrepreneurs.
