FemmePharma President and CEO to Participate in Panel Discussion on the Opioid Addiction Crisis
FemmePharma Global Healthcare, Inc. announced today that Gerianne Tringali DiPiano, President and Chief Executive Officer, has been asked to participate in a panel discussion on Legal Responses to the Opioid Addiction Crisis: Criminal, Civil and Regulatory Solutions that will be held at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law on March 16, 2018.
According to Ms. DiPiano, who will be a member of the panel discussing Corporate Responsibility and Civil Law Solutions as regards the current opioid crisis, “It is imperative that pharmaceutical marketers partner with government and social service agencies in order to fully address this urgent national problem and develop constructive solutions”.
Ms. DiPiano brings to this conference a wealth of experience in the healthcare sector. A respected pharmaceutical industry executive and women’s healthcare expert, she founded FemmePharma Global Healthcare in 1996 in response to the industry’s narrow focus on women’s health needs – such as contraception and hormone replacement therapy – but lack of attention to other important women’s diseases and disorders. Today, she is focused on improving women’s health by developing products that are specifically designed for women across a broad range of therapeutic categories.
About FemmePharma Global Healthcare
FemmePharma was founded with the mission to improve both the health and quality of life of women through superior therapeutics targeted towards conditions, disorders and diseases which are unique to women and occur disproportionately among them, are associated with risk factors and progression that follow a different course in women than in men, and which are not adequately addressed by existing therapeutics due to their unpleasant side effects.
About Gerianne Tringali DiPiano
In addition to her corporate duties, Ms. DiPiano has held academic appointments at Saint Joseph’s University as Director of the Pharmaceutical MBA program and as adjunct professor of marketing. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Marquette University, MBA from Saint Joseph’s University, and Doctor of Science (HC) from University of the Sciences in Philadephia. Currently, Ms. DiPiano serves on the Board of Trustees for Drexel University and Saint Joseph’s University, the Advisory Board for the School of Public Health, Drexel University, and as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Clery Center, among other affiliations.
